Abstract

Development of a web portal for analysis three-dimensional structures in portal frames reinforced concrete

To facilitate the analysis and calculation of structures and civil constructions, we have developed various programs and applications that allow evaluating and designing structures by finite element theory. At present there are academic and comercial computational tools for the analysis of framed structures, such as Sap2000, Etabs, Portal de pórticos 2D among others. Based on the trend of Citizen Science and increased construction in more vulnerable places to severe seismic events, the idea to develop a specialized software tool for everyone that allows scanning reinforced concrete frame three-dimensional systems, in order to make the analysis and evaluation of the damage which may present structures before a seismic event. This tool is the first application using the special-purpose finite element program PEEF, based Concentrate Damage Theory. In order to attract more users and portability of the Web service, it was proposed that this website can be accessed through personal computers (PC). Also as an additional contribution to the assessment of the three dimensional structures of reinforced concrete has set the development of a finite element analysis to include plate-like elements and thus take into account the effect of the mezzanine slabs. .
